Heartz of Men
Just as “Heartz of Men” follows “No More Pain” on All Eyez on Me as tracks 8 and 7 respectively on the first CD (or as it is labeled on the album “Book 1”), so too does “Heartz of Men” follow “No More Pain”—last week’s featured 2Pac Friday track—here on 2Pac Friday.
Like “No More Pain,” the rapping in “Heartz of Men” is entirely 2Pac, as he delivers all three verses. Like “No More Pain” where 2Pac opens up by shouting out the song’s producer DeVante Swing, 2Pac opens up this track with a shoutout to DJ Quik, the producer of this song, whom 2Pac concludes the third verse with another shoutout to:
“The homie Quik gave a n**** a beat and let me start again
Represent, 'cause I've been sent the heartz of men.”
And we’ve been sent the big heart of 2Pac on this 2Pac Friday.
