2Pac Friday

It must be immediately noted that this is actually an E-40 song featuring 2Pac and a major track on In a Major Way, essentially E-40’s commercial breakout album (though my favorite E-40 album will always be Federal).

The reason “Dusted ‘n’ Disgusted” is so appropriate for this week is because Monday I went to Oakland for the first time to complete a pilgrimage to Tupac Way. And when you think of Tupac and Oakland, E-40 is one of the rappers that has to enter your mind. Not only did they collaborate on songs together, they were also friends. When you see E-40 speak of 2Pac, you can see he truly misses him without any need to “Practice Lookin’ Hard,” an early E-40 music video that 2Pac appears in.

And now nearly 21 years later 2Pac appears here in another 2Pac Friday.
